Art research process

My artistic process is deeply intertwined with the use of AI, exploring the boundaries of our visual and sensory universe. In my artistic journey, I don’t perceive myself as creating, but rather unveiling. Similar to a miner sifting through tons of earth in search of gold, I meticulously reveal the inherent beauty that already exists. Each artwork is a result of this collaborative exploration—an homage to the obscured dimensions and concealed beauty that exist within our visual and sensory realm.

What is AI?

AI, in the realm of generating images, isn’t solely about mimicking the real world. It’s a fusion of technology and artistry that delves into our sensory universe. It involves a deep exploration of mathematical principles that underpin aesthetics, allowing for the visualization of not just the tangible but also the intangible.

Within my practice, AI acts as a catalyst, an instrument that unlocks new perspectives and possibilities. It serves as a bridge between the known and the unexplored, expanding my artistic vision by revealing hidden layers of beauty that might otherwise remain unseen.

What is art?

Art is about both revealing and concealing. It’s not just about showcasing the beauty but also obscuring certain aspects, inviting introspection and questioning. The legitimacy of the human role in the creative process and the true legitimacy of art itself are subjects ripe for contemplation.

Perhaps, art is a human construct, and its definition of beauty might be subjective. The way we perceive the world may not align with how other beings perceive it. A deer might view our artistic endeavor as superficial or disconnected from the real essence of nature. It prompts us to question the nature of our art and our place in the creative process.

Art, when approached with humility, becomes a homage to the beauty that exists within our surroundings and within ourselves.
